Welcome to Sithmini (sithmini.com), a matrimony service operated by Apex Platforms (Pvt) Ltd ("Sithmini", "we", "us"). These Terms govern your use of the sithmini.com website, the Sithmini mobile apps, and every feature offered through them, including profiles, interests, chat, share links, porondam reports and memberships. By creating an account or using Sithmini you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. Please read them carefully.

1. What Sithmini Is

Sithmini is a platform where people seeking marriage, and their families, can publish a profile, discover other profiles, express interest, exchange messages and check horoscope compatibility. Sithmini is an introduction service only. We are not a marriage broker, matchmaker, astrologer, counsellor or legal adviser, and we are not a party to any relationship, engagement or marriage that results from using the platform.

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
• Every person described in a profile (the "profile subject") must be at least 18 years old and legally free to marry under the law that applies to them. Married persons may not be listed unless they are legally separated or divorced, and the civil status on the profile must say so.
• You must be genuinely seeking marriage for yourself or for the person you represent. Sithmini is not a dating, friendship or casual-relationship service.
• You must not have been previously removed from Sithmini for violating these Terms.

3. Posting on Behalf of Someone Else

Parents, siblings, relatives and friends may create and manage a profile for an adult who is seeking marriage. Marriage agencies may do so for their clients through an agency account. If you post on behalf of someone else you confirm that:

• the profile subject knows about the profile and has consented to it;
• you have their permission to share their personal details, photographs and horoscope as described in the Privacy Policy;
• you will tell them about interests, messages and proposals received, and will not accept an interest or arrange a meeting against their wishes; and
• you will remove the profile promptly if they ask you to.

We may contact the profile subject directly to confirm consent, and we may suspend a profile if the subject tells us they did not agree to it.

4. Your Account

• You must register with your own mobile number and keep your sign-in details secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
• One person may hold only one account. Duplicate accounts may be removed.
• One account may manage more than one profile, for example a parent posting for two children. Profiles on the same account are never matched with each other.
• Tell us immediately at support@sithmini.com if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

5. Profile Content and Accuracy

• Everything in a profile must be true, current and about the profile subject. This includes age, civil status, religion, ethnicity, caste, education, profession, location, family details and horoscope details.
• Photographs must be recent, genuine photographs of the profile subject. Photos of other people, heavily altered images, stock images and images that are indecent or offensive are not allowed.
• Gender, date of birth, civil status, religion and ethnicity are locked once a profile is published. Contact support if a genuine mistake needs correcting.
• Profiles must not contain phone numbers, email addresses, social media handles or other contact details in free-text fields. Contact details are exchanged only through the platform's interest and share-link features.
• Profiles must not contain content that is defamatory, obscene, discriminatory or hateful, or that promotes any commercial service other than a registered marriage agency's own listings.
• Horoscope details, where provided, must be the profile subject's own. Sithmini computes charts and compatibility from the birth details you enter and is not responsible for errors that arise from incorrect details.

6. Moderation and Verification

• New profiles and significant edits are reviewed before they go live. We may ask for changes, hold a profile, or decline to publish it. Review is normally completed within one business day but is not guaranteed within any time.
• A verified badge means we have checked a National Identity Card or passport (for identity) or a horoscope document (for horoscope verification) against the profile. It does not mean we have verified anything else about the person, including their character, civil status, income, family or intentions.
• We may remove or edit any content, and suspend or remove any profile, that we reasonably believe breaches these Terms, without prior notice.

7. Expected Conduct

Sithmini is used by families. You agree to treat other members with respect. You must not:

• misrepresent your identity, age, civil status, intentions or any other fact, or create a profile for a person who does not exist or has not consented;
• ask any member or their family for money, gifts, loans, "visa fees", "customs charges", investment or financial help of any kind, or offer the same;
• demand or negotiate dowry, or use the platform for any arrangement that is unlawful in Sri Lanka or in the member's country of residence;
• harass, threaten, stalk, insult or pressure any member, or continue contacting a member after they have declined, blocked you or asked you to stop;
• send sexual, obscene or abusive messages or images;
• copy, screenshot, download, publish or forward another member's profile, photos, horoscope, contact details or messages to anyone outside the platform, except within your immediate family for the purpose of considering the proposal;
• use a share link for any purpose other than showing a profile to a prospective family, relative or trusted intermediary, or pass share links on to third parties;
• scrape, crawl, bulk-download or otherwise collect profile data, or use automated tools to send interests or messages;
• advertise or solicit for any business, including astrology, wedding or visa services, other than through a registered marriage agency account;
• attempt to access another member's account, bypass photo, phone or horoscope gating, or interfere with the security or operation of the platform.

Members can report any profile or message and block any member. We review every report. Breaches may result in content removal, a warning, suspension or permanent removal without refund, and may be reported to the Sri Lanka Police where a crime appears to have been committed.

8. Interests, Chat and Contact Details

• An active (paid and approved) profile is required to send an interest.
• Contact details, and photos and horoscope where the owner has kept them private, are revealed only when both sides have accepted an interest, or when the owner chooses to reveal them. Either member may withdraw from a conversation or block the other at any time.
• Chat is provided for members to get to know each other and arrange introductions between families. Messages are private between the two members but may be reviewed by our team when a report is made or we have reason to suspect abuse.
• Anyone you choose to contact or meet is someone you have met through an online service. Follow the advice on our Stay Safe page.

9. Share Links and Outside Proposals

• You may create expiring links to show your profile to people outside Sithmini, such as a relative or a broker. You decide what each link reveals and for how long it is valid, and you may revoke it at any time. You are responsible for whom you give a link to.
• People who reply to a share link with an outside proposal provide information about a third party. By submitting a proposal you confirm you have that person's permission. Outside proposals are not reviewed by Sithmini and the details in them are unverified.

10. Horoscope and Porondam Reports

• Sithmini computes nakshatra, rashi, lagna and porondam (compatibility) scores using traditional Sri Lankan astrological methods and the birth details members enter. Premium match and wedding reports are generated in the same way.
• These results are provided for cultural and informational purposes only. They are not a prediction, a guarantee of compatibility or marital happiness, or professional advice of any kind. Different astrologers and traditions may reach different conclusions from the same chart.
• You should not make, or refuse to make, any decision solely on the basis of a Sithmini report. Sithmini accepts no responsibility for decisions taken in reliance on horoscope results.
• Report accuracy depends entirely on the birth date, time and place entered. Reports generated from incorrect birth details cannot be refunded.

11. Memberships, Fees and Payments

• Publishing a profile requires a membership fee for a fixed period (currently 2, 3 or 6 months). The fee and period are shown before you pay. Memberships are one-time payments and do not renew automatically; when a membership ends the profile is no longer shown publicly until you renew it.
• Premium porondam reports are charged per report at the price shown before purchase.
• All prices are in Sri Lankan Rupees (shown as Rs.) and include applicable taxes. Payments are processed by PayHere; by paying you also accept PayHere's terms.
• A membership covers one profile. It cannot be transferred to another profile or another person.
• Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
• We may change our prices at any time. Changes do not affect a membership or report already paid for.

12. Marriage Agencies

Registered marriage agencies may manage profiles for their clients through an agency account with staff roles. Agencies are responsible for obtaining each client's informed consent, for the accuracy of every profile they publish, and for the conduct of their staff on the platform. Agencies must not list a client on Sithmini and simultaneously offer that profile to other members for a fee outside the platform. We may require proof of business registration and may remove agency accounts that breach these Terms.

13. Licence to Your Content

You keep ownership of the text, photographs and other content you upload. You grant Sithmini a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display, resize and process that content for the purpose of operating the service, including showing it to other members in line with your visibility settings and computing matches. This licence ends when you remove the content or delete your account, except where we must keep a copy under our Privacy Policy. We will never use your photos or profile in advertising without your separate written permission.

14. Our Intellectual Property

The Sithmini name and logo, the website and apps, the matching and porondam engines, and all text, graphics and software we create are owned by Apex Platforms (Pvt) Ltd or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer or redistribute them, or use the Sithmini name in a way that suggests endorsement, without our written permission. Avatar artwork is provided under the licences listed in the Attributions notice in the site footer.

15. No Guarantee of Results

We do not guarantee that you will find a match, receive interests, or that any introduction will lead to marriage. We do not verify the truth of what members say about themselves beyond the document checks described in section 6. You are solely responsible for making your own enquiries, involving your family, and taking the precautions described on the Stay Safe page before trusting, meeting or committing to anyone you meet through Sithmini.

16. Limitation of Liability

• Sithmini is provided "as is". We do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or available at any particular time.
• To the fullest extent permitted by Sri Lankan law, Sithmini, Apex Platforms (Pvt) Ltd and their directors, employees and agents are not liable for any loss or damage arising from: the conduct of any member, online or offline; the accuracy of any profile, proposal or horoscope result; any decision you make in reliance on the platform; or unauthorised access to your data caused by your failure to keep your account secure.
• Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you for all claims is limited to the fees you paid to Sithmini in the 12 months before the claim arose.
• Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud or for anything that cannot be limited by law.

17. Suspension and Termination

• You may remove a profile or delete your account at any time from your dashboard or Account Settings.
• We may suspend or terminate your account, and remove your profiles, if you breach these Terms, if we receive credible reports of harm or deception, if required by law, or if we discontinue the service. Where termination is due to your breach, no refund is owed.
• Sections 10, 13 to 16 and 18 to 19 survive termination.

18. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. Any dispute that cannot be resolved by contacting us first will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Colombo, Sri Lanka. If you use Sithmini from outside Sri Lanka you are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to you there.

19. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the service evolves. The date at the top shows the latest revision. For material changes we will notify you by email, SMS or a notice in the app at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of Sithmini after that date means you accept the updated Terms. If you do not agree, stop using the service and delete your account.
